• MDN Web Docs - Detailed documentation and guides for different parts of the web, run by Mozilla

Software

• ElementaryOS - Amazingly simple and user-friendly Linux-based operating system. It functions very similar to how Mac OS feels, but of course still allows for you to mess around in the system, if you're an advanced user. If you're looking for something closer to how Windows works, I'd check out Linux Mint.

• Mozilla Thunderbird - amazing email client that allows you to escape the grasp of google and microsoft mail clients, even if you're still bound to using them as your mail provider.

• Calibre - for viewing, managing, and sharing ebooks

Textbooks / Reference Manuals

• The C Programming Language

• UNIX Network Programming, 3rd edition, vol 1 - An essential guide book for learning how to make programs that communicate across a network. If you're working outside of a POSIX environment, the code itself won't work, but general concepts still apply.

• Introduction to Algorithms - "CLRS" - Useful reference for Data Structures and Algorithms

• Reinforcement Learning: An Introduction, 2nd ed - A great resource on RL Machine Learning, written by the father of Reinforcement Learning. Very mathematical in nature. Focuses on theory over application. If you've got any good application-heavy recommendations, please do let me know, I'd love to read it!
